Air National Guard High Rollers recognize top performers Published Jan. 3, 2013 By 010113 CARSON CITY -- The exemplary service and dedication of the top airmen in the Nevada Air Guard will be recognized Saturday at the Nevada Air National Guard Base in Reno during the annual Nevada Air Guard Awards Ceremony. Governor Brian Sandoval, the adjutant general for Nevada, Brig. Gen Bill Burks, and the commander of the Nevada Air Guard, Brig. Gen. David Snyder, will preside over the ceremony. Their federal mission continues with 24/7 overseas contingency operations and in Nevada, they cut energy consumption costs across the board. On Saturday, more than a dozen airmen will be recognized for their dedication to safety, diversity, and overall excellence, and civilian employers and key volunteers in the community will also be acknowledged for their contributions to the High Roller's success. In the past year, the more than 1,100 High Rollers of the Nevada Air Guard have provided daily support to Operation Enduring Freedom, regional support in Europe, Central America and Antarctica. -30-
