On Sunday, the 152nd Airlift Wing hosted the Nevada National Guard's first ever joint "Couples Date Night" hosted by Chaplain Maj. Donny Crandell and the 152nd Airlift Wing's Chaplain Corps here at the Air Guard Base in Reno.

There was a mix of Army and Air Guard couples among the attendees.  The textbook for the night was, "5 Love Languages Military Edition," by Gary Chapman.  The husbands and wives took separate tests to determine their "love languages," and then compared and interpreted the results.  The desired result being a better understanding of each other, and improvement of the relationship.

"The Five Love Languages is one of the most practical, helpful tools to help couples love each other," said Chaplain Maj. Crandell.  Crandell, the Chaplain for the 152nd, is a trained Strong Bonds Marriage facilitator and a local pastor. He has provided effective counseling to many couples and led several successful marriage retreats.

Crandell mentioned that there are more date nights coming up in the future and encouraged potential attendees to sign-up early when the date nights are announced.
