The Airman and Family Readiness Program Manager, and the Nevada Army National Guard Child & Youth Coordinator hosted a Kids Halloween event on October 25, 2019 at the Nevada Air National Guard Base.  Adults and Kids dressed up like ghosts, goblins, action heroes and various other very creative Halloween Costumes, taking part in activities and games at the “Haunted Hangars” that included bean-bag toss, pumpkin decorating and hay rides.

This year’s event was attended by the 152nd Airlift Wing Commander, Vice Commander, Group Commanders and Squadron Commanders and 475 Nevada Air and Army National Guard members and their families. The Nevada Air National Guard Family Programs and the Army National Guard Child and Youth Program could never coordinate an event of this magnitude without support from our local community partners. Special Thanks goes to Northern Nevada United Service Organizations (USO) for donating all the Food, Drinks and 300 pumpkins. Also, a special thanks go to the following supporting organizations:

Airlift Wing Morale, Welfare and Recreation group for donating all the candy, Force Support Squadron for cooking all the food, Security Forces Squadron for keeping everyone safe and maintaining traffic control and parking, SANGA committee members for helping during this event, the New West Distributing, for donating drinks, Reno chapter of the American Red Cross for serving all the food, Blue Star mothers of Northern Nevada, for making popcorn and cotton candy, Military OneSource, Nevada Army National Guard Family Assistance, 152nd Airlift Wing Key Volunteers and numerous Nevada National Guard members and spouses.

After the event all the votes were tallied and the following Groups or Squadrons won in the following categories: People’s choice: Medical Group. Scariest: Small Air Terminal. Most Creative: Intel Squadron. Thanks for everyone who participated to make this an exciting, memorable and fun event for all who attended!
