The Nevada Air Guard has grown thanks in part to the leadership of one man.

The Air National Guard bestowed the Silver State's own Master Sgt. Clint Dudley with the prestigious Air National Guard Gold Recruiting Badge for his leadership as the Recruiting Office Supervisor for 2011 during a ceremony at the annual Retention Training Conference in New Orleans.

"Receiving the award is definitely an honor and something that could not be accomplished without a solid recruiting team"," said Dudley, a Nashville, Tenn. native, who is currently assigned at the Air National Guard Headquarters recruiting office in Reno.

The 38-year-old Airman earned distinction at the conclusion of his rookie year as the office supervisor by achieving 150 percent of his recruiting goal.  Dudley personally recruited 17 enlisted Airmen and 19 officers into the Nevada Air National Guard. After taking top honors in Region 1, his name was automatically entered into the national competition.

"This is an award that is truly well deserved because of Master Sgt. Dudley's hard work and dedication to the recruiting office," said Col. John Week, director of staff for the Nevada Air National Guard. "The Nevada Air National Guard is proud of his success."
Dudley's previous recruiting distinctions include Rookie Recruiter of the Year in 2005, and Retention Office Manager in 2008 both for Region 1. He also received a plaque and engraved pen and pencil desk set for this year's achievements.

Previously, Dudley served with the 152nd Security Forces Squadron in Reno and deployed to Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan in 2001 in support of the Global War on Terrorism. The year prior he was hand-picked by the National Guard Bureau to train the Air National Guard Defender Challenge team.

Dudley has served with the Nevada Air Guard since 1996 and has more than 19 years total service with 4 years in the active component.
