Job fair series upcoming throughout northern Nevada

A series of military and civilian job fairs throughout northern Nevada this winter promises to help Guardsmen and reserve military members and their spouses as well as veterans and retirees attain their employment goals.

The first military job fair is set for Reno on Feb. 20 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Reno Old Town Mall, 4001 S. Virginia St.

The following day, Feb. 21., several Carson City organizations will host the Carson City Job Fair at the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St., from 1-4 p.m. The fair is free and open to all employment seekers.

Later this winter, a military job fair is set for March 12 at the Elko National Guard Armory, 1375 13th St., from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The last fair in the winter series is set for March 14 at the Winnemucca National Guard Armory, 735 W. 4th St., from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Jobs seekers are advised to wear professional attire and bring 10 copies of their resume.

The military job fairs are sponsored by Hero 2 Hired, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program.

The Carson City Job Fair is sponsored by the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and the Carson City Department of Health and Human Services.
